May 12, 2006
Dear members of EUROPT,
with this e-mail, we may be reminded and informed about
our nearby event and next year's events, respectively.
a) The preparations of our 5th EUROPT workshop
"Advances in Continuous Optimization", Reykjavik, Iceland,
June 30 - July 1, 2006, are going on well. If you are interested
in participation but have not yet dealt with, please do not
hesitate to contact our friend Prof. Dr. Georg Still
(g.still@math.utwente.nl)
and me (gweber@metu.edu.tr).
Please visit
http://wwwhome.math.utwente.nl/~stillgj/COPT06/.
This workshop is taking place before the conference
EURO XXI 2007 which is going to become the largest mere
EURO conference (without INFORMS) in the history of
EURO yet.
Please find our workshop poster enclosed. If you wish, you
may publish and spread it in various ways.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Iceland.
b) For the next year, we from EUROPT are very welcome
also in the stream organization of EURO XXII 2007,
Prague, Czech Republic, July 8-11, 2007. With the
collection of streams we are going on; in fact, several
friends already expressed their readiness. If you would
like to join as a Stream Organizer, please send me
your message such that we can develop our group's list
for that event of next year.
EUROPT, according to its commitment and willing,
wishes to support EURO 2007 best.
We shall also have our 6th EUROPT workshop before the
EURO 2007 conference. Closer information will be given
later on.
c) Our friend Prof. Dr. Daniel Ralph sent us a first information
about 7th ICOTA conference (ICOTA7) which will be held in
Kobe, Japan, December 12-15, 2007. Please visit
http://www.iict.konan-u.ac.jp/ICOTA7/
. This event is so
closely related with the group POP which we are collaborating
with so pleasantly and so successfully in the last years,
especially at the occasion of EURO 2006.
With best wishes,
yours sincerely,
Gerhard-Wilhelm Weber
vice-coordinator
